Sump & Ejector Pump Failure Cleanup
A sump pump does not usually fail on a quiet day. It fails during the storm that was already overwhelming it, or it fails silently weeks earlier and nobody notices until the water has nowhere to go. Ejector pump failures are worse, because that water is not clean. We have run 165 of these jobs, and the pattern is consistent: the pump is the cheap part, and the finished basement around it is not. Getting the water out quickly is what decides whether the flooring and drywall are salvageable.
What the work involves
- Extract standing water immediately, before it wicks further up the drywall
- Treat ejector-pump water as contaminated and scope the demolition accordingly
- Remove affected baseboard, carpet pad and drywall to the flood line
- Sanitize and apply antimicrobial to the slab and cavity
- Coordinate with your plumber on the pump repair so drying is not blocked
165 sump and ejector pump jobs on our board, $552,063 invoiced, with a 72% close rate on the estimates we write.
